I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Washington, license #LF60326174. I am also an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist in Ohio, license #F.2200282. In addition, I am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) through The International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP). I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Washington and my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. In addition to seeing clients, I am a Washington State Approved Supervisor and an IAEDP Approved Supervisor, offering clinical supervision to therapists.
Since 2009, I have worked with individuals and families in both outpatient and residential treatment settings. For nine years, I worked at a residential eating disorder program, including four years as the Program Director.
My passions include working with women on food and body issues as well as pregnancy and postpartum struggles. My own issues with food and body image as a young woman, as well as the food and body issues in my family, inspired me to specialize in the treatment of eating disorders. I know first hand that change and healing are possible, and I am dedicated to helping others find freedom from disordered relationships with food, body and exercise. I am also a mother to two small children and love supporting women as they navigate pregnancy and motherhood.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my husband, son and daughter. I grew up in the Seattle area and am still amazed at the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. My family and I especially love going on weekend and day trips in the area and spending time near the water.
